Summer and Fall '06

Graduate and Undergraduate Students:

DIS (Directed Independent Study), Research, or Engineering Design (ED) Projects
As you may know, problem solving skills are sought after in the industry. Dr. Shankar invites you to explore one of the following topics, depending upon your interest, for undergraduate/graduate DIS or Research credits (1 to 3 credits per semester). You may also wish to pursue these, with appropriate modifications, as needed, as Engineering Design (ED) projects. The topics are in the CS, CE, and EE areas, and may lead to participation in funded projects at a later time. You may start on a project this summer and register for the DIS/Research credits in the fall, or you could register for credits this summer, depending upon your goals and time availability. All these projects will be publishable as conference and/or journal papers. Dr. Shankar will guide you through the research and publication process.
